Ofcom state BT must co-operate with competitors
The communications regulator Ofcom, has advised BT to allow easier access for rivals to lay their own fibre cables along Openreach's telegraph poles and in its underground cable ducts.
Although BT maintain that operations between themselves and Open Reach are already conducted at arms length, this is a positive move for the consumer as increased competition reduces the possiblity of a monopoly market and should hopefully improve quality of service and performance
